How to Recover Files from Android Phones

Tutorial: How to Recover Files from Android Phones?

Step 1.

Connect your Android phone to the computer

Connect your Android phone to your computer, and run the program. After that, you'll see the interface below.

You need to enable USB debugging of Android devices if you don’t have enabled USB debugging. According to the Android OS version running on your device, choose a right way to enable.
1) As Android 2.3 or earlier: Enter and click "Settings" < "Applications" < "Development" < "USB debugging"
2) As Android 3.0 to 4.1: Enter and click "Settings" < "Developer options" < "USB debugging"
3) As Android 4.2 or latest: Enter and click "Settings" < "About Phone" < "Build number" for times when you get a note "You are under developer mode" < then Back to "Settings" < "Developer options" < "USB debugging"

Step 2.

Scan your Android phone for lost data

After enabling the USB debugging, you'll get the window as follows. Click "Start" to analyze your device.

The analyzing process will consume you a few seconds. After that, an application - Superuser Request will pop up on your Android phone's screen. Click "Allow" to continue the scan. Then click "Start" on the program's window to scan your phone.

Step 3.

Preview and recover files from your Android phone

When the scan completes, you'll get a scan result below. You can preview SMS, contacts and photos scanned out. Choose those you need and click "Recover" to preserve them on your computer.

Note: Contacts found in the scan result contain those you deleted recently (displayed in orange) and those existing on your Android phone (displayed in black). You can separate them by using the button above “Only display deleted items”.
