How to Solve iPhone Notes Icon Missing or Hidden

My Notes have been disappearing from my iPhone. It began happening with my iPhone 3G, and now happens with my iPhone 4. I am truly puzzled by why this is happening. I use the Notes app to store certain info. And it would be great if they didn't delete themselves. I also notice that since this happening, I've been getting every Note I create in my email, seemingly after it deletes itself from my phone. I'm sure this will be something very stupid that I'm missing, but is there a setting I accidentally turned on or something? Or is this an actual bug?

Actually, it’s not the icon but the note contents disappear. The disappearance of note icon usually happens on jailbroken iPhone. Many people rely on Notes to store their important information. Now that the Notes icon is missing, you may be in a panic mode. If the icon is moved into a folder in home screen, but you cannot find it out, you can go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout. If you try to find some recovery software to save your notes, it still would waste some precious time which would put off getting your notes back. How about trying iPhone Data Recovery? This awesome iPhone recovery tool can quickly retrieve all the disappeared notes.
